How to use the interval timer
- Enter how many seconds to work and rest, and how many rounds.
- Press Start. The screen shows the current phase, the time left and the round.
- A short beep marks each change, and three beeps mean you have finished.
What is an interval timer?
An interval timer alternates between work and rest for a set number of rounds. It is popular for circuit training and high intensity workouts, and also for study sprints, language drills and practising music in short bursts.

- 30 seconds work, 10 seconds rest, 5 rounds: a quick circuit
- 45 seconds work, 15 seconds rest, 8 rounds: a longer session
- 60 seconds work, 30 seconds rest, 6 rounds: a steady pace

How many rounds can I set?
Up to 999 rounds, with work and rest times of up to 999 seconds each.
Can I have no rest period?
Yes. Set rest to 0 and the timer runs straight from one work round to the next.
Does it beep when the interval changes?
Yes, unless you turn the Sound button off. Your choice is remembered in your browser.
