Presentation Timer
Rehearse and deliver your talk to time, with a large countdown you can read from across the room.
Rehearse to time
Run through your talk out loud with the timer going. It is the quickest way to find out whether you need to cut or add material. Do it more than once, since you usually speed up on the day.
Plan your time
- A common guide is around one to two minutes per slide.
- Aim to finish a minute or two before your slot to allow for questions.
- Typical slots: 3 minutes for a lightning talk, 5 for a pitch, 10 to 20 for a presentation.
On the day
Press Fullscreen and put the timer on a laptop or tablet where only you can see it. The remaining time also shows in the browser tab.

Frequently asked questions
Can I get a warning before time runs out?
Not yet. A simple trick is to set the timer slightly shorter than your slot, so the alarm gives you a buffer.
Can the audience see the timer?
Only if you show your screen. Open it on a phone or second screen to keep it private.
How long should a 10 minute presentation be?
Around 8 to 9 minutes of talking, leaving a little time for questions.
