Tea Timer
Pick your tea, press Start, and get an alarm when it has brewed for just the right time.
How long to brew tea
- Green tea: about 2 minutes
- Black tea: about 4 minutes
- Herbal and fruit infusions: about 5 minutes
These are starting points. Always check the packet, since different teas vary, and adjust the time to taste.
Tips for a better cup
- Use freshly boiled water for black and herbal tea, and let it cool a little for green tea.
- Start the timer as soon as the water hits the tea.
- Remove the tea bag or leaves when the alarm sounds, since stewed tea turns bitter.

Can I leave the tea bag in?
You can, but the tea keeps getting stronger and can taste bitter, especially green tea. Taste it when the alarm sounds.
Can I time a different tea?
Yes. Type any minutes and seconds into the boxes before pressing Start.
